SELECTED CAREER ACCOMPLISHMENTS

ARCHITECTURAL PROJECT MANAGEMENT
Successfully managed numerous architectural commercial retail, office building and tenant
improvement build-out projects including:

Feola Deenihan, Archuleta Architects:  I favorably  presented architectural projects to the Glendale Redevelopment Agency, Glendale Architectural Design Review and City of Glendale Division of Building and Safety Plan Check , including cinema theaters, restaurants, business and medical office buildings. These projects involved Type I, Type III, Type V and tilt-up concrete construction .  I successfully provided Architectural Construction Administration on five of the seven projects. 

Carli Architecture:  I successfully managed the Carli Architecture Design and Construction Document Team in producing:

1.  Lost Hills Business Center, Agoura Hills, CA - 110,000 S.F. core / shell tilt-up concrete commercial office building.  I pioneered the production the first set of computerized project specification for the firm.  I completed an extensive Los Angeles County Plancheck process and obtained grading and building permits.  I successfully completed  the Construction Administration phase of the project and brought the project in at budget and on schedule.

2.  Glendale Memorial Hospital Medical Office Building, Glendale, CA, 70,000 S.F. core / shell and tenant improvement build-out.  I favorably organized and managed the design of the core and shell scope of work with the owner’s construction manager and general contractor, within the owner’s project budget and schedule.  I also successfully identified and organized the design scopes of work of twenty seven doctor tenant offices, produced and obtained client approvals of construction documents for each tenant, obtained  government plancheck approvals and permits, and coordinated design criteria for radiation treatment facilities.  I provided construction administration services during the entire tenant improvement construction phase.

These reviews included coordination of multi-disciplines designs, infrastructure clearances, drawing detail and dimensional  coordination.   Reviews also measured document compliance with project program standards and requirements.   Review of implementation of ADA and CALDAG standards.

ARCHITECTURAL CONSTRUCTION DOCUMENT PRODUCTION
Cornwall Associates: I provided architectural job captain/ Construction Administration services for the development of eleven church and office buildings, including  plan check and permit administration.


PROJECT CONTROL SCHEDULING SERVICES
Westfield Corporation:  I provided project control / scheduling services for Westfield’s East Coast
  and Central US Shopping Center Development Program, including thirty-five major additions /
renovation projects valued at $1.5B dollars over a three year period.  I provided development and  detail construction cpm schedules for each of the projects.  I facilitated weekly project action meetings via video conferencing with key team members throughout the country that coordinated development efforts of owner developers, designers, contractors, and tenant coordination staff.  I published and distributed weekly meeting action minutes that identified the status of current assignments and pending activities.


CONSTRUCTION MANAGEMENT
Ashkenazy Development:  I managed and administrated design and construction operations for
  a $45M hotel development (1 five star hotel and 4 three star hotels) with scheduled completion
prior to the 1984 Los Angeles Olympiad.  Scope of work included coordination and
scheduling of architectural, interior design and construction operations of all five hotels
simultaneously.  Responsibilities also included construction document review, plan check
administration, owner / financial institution relations, contract and punch list/project closeout
  administration.


OTHER NOTED ACCOMPLISHMENTS
Owner Authorized Representative – Los Angeles Unified School District - LAUSD.  Provided pre-development management  coordination for eight classroom addition projects, including California Department of State Architect approval, utility services coordination, and peer plan review.  Also provided construction management coordination as an Owner Authorized Representative for a three story sixteen classroom building at Ascot Elementary School.

  Engineering Department Manager of the largest privately held electrical contractor in
Los Angeles County, including supervision of eight electrical engineers and draftsmen.  Scopes of work included project budgeting and planning of conceptual, schematic and design/build electrical design.  Designs included two major hotels, 1.3 million square foot McDonnell Douglas/Watson Land Development complex, Pioneer Electronics, and Hughes Aircraft Space Division facilities.

Licensed Building Inspector, Code Enforcement Inspector and Structural Plan Checker for
  the City of Pocatello, Idaho, including plan check review and permitting of commercial,
  industrial and residential construction documents, calculations, on-site structural inspection,
  Zoning and Housing Code Enforcement Inspection, and inter-departmental plan check review
  coordination.
