To whom may concern,
After Studying abroad in Spain (IaaC) and Argentina (Torcuato Di Tella) for 2 years, I have formally graduated from a Professional Bachelors Degree in Architecture (B ARCH;5 yrs.) at the Polytechnic University of Puerto Rico (PUPR).During my undergraduate studies I worked extensively for 3 years as a design assistant for the principal of an Interior design company in Puerto Rico. Throughout that period I learned everything from managing to construction documents to picking out textiles.
I moved to New York City post graduation to study my Masters degree in Advanced Architecture at Columbia University (GSAAP) where I have been accepted starting summer 2010. Unfortunately due to the lack of funds I was not able to be a part of the 2010 GSAAP Alumni. Since then, I have been working as a Server and freelance designer for the past 2 years .
Since January 2012 I have been working with the renowned architect Michael Sorkin at Michael Sorkin Studio / Terreform Inc. Michael has in trusted me with various tasks such as 3d modeling, Photoshop retouches & vignettes, Construction Documents, text editing and researching among others. Currently I have been working on a series of Urban Furniture for the City of New York.
I am grateful for the opportunities Mr. Sorkin has given me and that is why I leave in good spirits to seek and explore other aspects of architecture, design and theory.
I am currently seeking an architectural position that can help me transition from freelance to architect in training.
