Florida State University, Tallahassee, FL, US, Masters, Interior Design
I graduated with a Masters of Fine Arts degree in Interior Design. I successfully wrote and defended a design thesis based on an underground office. I conducted original research, in which I created a questionnaire, analyzed data and applied the results into a project. My coursework ranged from structured classes with assignments (such as Research Methods and Design Theory), to independent studies with an individual professor, and studio classes.
I also received a Masters Certificate in Urban Planning. Coursework included classes on planning theory and standards, land use planning and issues, as well as a studio class.
Auburn University, Auburn, AL, US, Bachelors, Interior Design
I completed a Bachelors of Human Science degree in Interior Design. Coursework involved various design studios (Residential design, Non-residential design, Commercial design, Hospitality design, and Healthcare design); classes on furniture and finishes; understanding of construction methods; and learning design programs (such as CAD, Revit, Sketchup, Illustrator, InDesign, and Photoshop).
During this program, I studied abroad for a semester in Ariccia, Italy, where I was exposed to a new culture and language.
Also included in the program was a required internship, which I completed the Summer of 2010 at Gensler in Houston, Texas.
Auburn University, Auburn, AL, US, Bachelors, Spanish
I received a Bachelors degree in Liberal Arts, with a focus in Spanish language. I am also fluent in Spanish (read, write, and speak). Coursework included basic language classes, as well as writing, literature and business spanish.
Included in my course of study, was a study abroad program in Salamanca, Spain, where I was fully immersed in Spanish culture and language.
