About

I am a licensed architect living in Philadelphia with over 8 years of experience in the field of architectural design, engineering, home renovation, and construction project administration and management.  I hold a bachelor's degree in civil engineering from Lafayette College, and a master's degree in architecture from the University of North Carolina.  My portfolio of work ranges from the design of my parents' 2,700 SF home that was constructed to replace the one that they lost when it was crushed by five tons of poplar tree, to the design and construction administration for a complex 75,000 SF multi-use public college building.  I've worked on projects in excess of 100,000 SF as well, including industrial production facilities, laboratories, commercial buildings, public and high-end housing, and educational buildings.  I'm also a professional actor, author, and an amateur brewer in my free time.  My days are busy, to say the least...

Employment

Blackney Hayes Architects, Philadelphia, PA, US, Project Architect/Project Manager

Boomeranged to the firm where I started my career in Philadelphia back in 2005 after time with Cecil Baker and Jacobs Wyper. I'm currently serving as a Project Architect, Project Manager, and Business Development Associate with Blackney Hayes Architects. My experience ranges from single family homes, high end mansions and multi-family housing, college and university weight training facilities and student centers, public housing community centers, and a significant amount of speculative project work that fuels our efforts to generate business and bring in new clients. I take acquaintances in the building construction industry to lunch and present the firm and our capabilities to them with the support of our marketing and business development team.
