Karisa was intrigued by architecture and design since high school and formally began her education at the Iberoamerican University in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic, which has a leading and omnibus school program. Having earned her Bachelor's degree, she has planned to continue her education with a Master degree in Interior Architecture at SAIC and also pretends to advance in her career by becoming a licensed architect in Illinois.
During her studies she was able to make an architecture tour around Europe. She has seen and analyzed important architecture buildings like: The Guggenheim Museum in Bilbao, The Jude Museum in Berlin, Villa Savoye in Poissy, Pompidou Museum in Paris, The chapel of Notre Dame du Haut in Ronchamp and more to be mentioned.
She is a creative person with initiative and independence of thought, which provides input and makes decisions during the search for architectural and urban solutions, able to integrate and assume her role in interdisciplinary teams involved in different stages of design, planning and project implementation.
Knowledgeable of architectural practice in the national and global reality, that while serving the country with her exercise, can also act as agent of change in urban and architectural transformations. She has a bilingual proficiency and can manage to work as an international designer on a Spanish/English construction industry.
