Matthew is an architectural designer who currently lives in Tempe, Arizona. Born and raised in Newark, Ohio, he has made his way out west to experience bluer skies and receive a more diverse architectural experience. He graduated from Ohio State University with a Bachelor of Science in Architecture. He has obtained his Masters in Architecture from Arizona State University, where he collaborated with Phoenix architect, Jack DeBartolo III (and ten other students) on a unique project for a primary school in Ethiopia, Africa.
He is currently working on a residence in Sedona, Arizona, with architect Sugatha Roeder. The residence is unique in that it contains an elevator and sits on a steep-sloped mountainside. He has worked in the construction and architecture fields in Ohio, and did graphic design in Arizona. He also volunteered his time during his schooling at A.S.U. to participate in the Tempe Steering Committee where he collaborated with an active group to help make sustainable decisions for projects in the Tempe area, especially for the university.
In his spare time, he loves to travel, work on construction projects, design/sketch, build furniture, create art, shoot photography, cook, listen to music and ride his longboard.
