I enjoy working with space, people and material, and find the successful integration of all three one of the most brilliant and powerful works produced by humans.

The program is an intense introduction and deepening of design skills, focusing on communication in renderings and presentation, as well as fundamental work with issues of form and function. In 4 months one completes three intensive projects, two solo design works and one group modeling exercise. While in the program we traveled to Western Denmark, Stockholm, and parts of Finland including Helsinki.

I received grant money to travel in Japan for two weeks to study Japanese aesthetics and philosophy, and in particular to visit artworks by the artist/architect/poets Shusaku Arakawa and Madeline Gins.
