I believe in creating beautiful things and have created pleasant design with everything from a kitchen cutting board to an airwalk civic planning project in New York City. There is great pleasure to be found in working in a wood shop to create a table or build forms for a concrete planter or sculpture.
Recently, I studied music composition which has greatly furthered my skill in music and architecture. Harmony, rhythm, structure, keys, metered music, architectural unit systems all interrelate if you are conscious.
In addition to creating things in design and music I also enjoy gardening.
CECO Concrete Construction, Tempe, Laborer
We are building an 11-story hotel, Marriot Residence Inn, and creating the formwork in conjunction with Hardrock Concrete Placement Co. It is an unusual pairing of companies, however, both companies had other jobs going on and needed to team up.
I have helped strip forms and prepare materials to fly up to the next floor. Assembled outriggers, reset them on various floors, flown tables, worked on edge forms, etc. Quite an experience.
