Born and raised in Austin, Texas, I recently graduated from the University of Texas at Austin with a Bachelors of Architecture and a minor in Interior Design. I participated in the UTSOA Professional Residency program during the summer/fall of 2011; I completed my residency at Reddymade Design in New York City. During my residency I learned a great deal about the implications of practicing architecture in New York City. I was also given the opportunity to work on construction drawings, client presentations, schedules, budgets, installations, construction administration, and architectural photoshoots as well as give design input on many projects.
My interest tends to gravitate toward small-scale design, though as a young professional my goal is to get my hands dirty with as many different types of design as possible, including residential, commercial, retail, landscape, and product design. My strengths lie in my ability to communicate, my organizational and problem-solving skills, and my passion for learning new things.
I have always been a creator in many senses of the word. I have pursued design most rigorously throughout my education, but I have also been dancing and choreographing pre-professionally for over 17 years and I have maintained a passion for writing and for the English language since I was old enough to spell my own name. I've found that nurturing my many interests has helped me maintain a balanced lifestyle and well-rounded creative mindset.
I am open to any opportunity in the creative realm, so if you'd like to help me find gainful employment and/or network then please get in touch (see my contact page). Thank you!
