About

I graduated from UC Berkeley with a BA in Architecture and a minor in Landscape Design.  I have 7 years of work experience split between high end residential and 2 large hospital projects.  I currently live and work in Brooklyn where I have working for myself doing residential and commercial renovations.  My background is strong in technical detailing, creating complete construction sets, and coordinating trades and contractors during the construction administration phase.  I am extremely proficient in AutoCAD, Archicad, Sketchup and the Adobe Suites. I have experience with NYC codes and have been refocusing my work on interior designs and materials, applying the practical and technical skill I gained early on.  I have begun to miss the office environment and larger scale projects that involve more complex coordination and team efforts.  So I would be happy to take on a full time job as well any freelance work.

Outside of architecture I have been designing and fabricating furniture and other products (www.pvelle.com).  I also paint and draw and have begun to sell and show some of my work.

Other then that I enjoy surfing, rock climbing and riding my bicycle.

Please feel free to contact me if you have any questions or available work!

Thanks,

Michael Metiu
