My name is Spencer Anderson Alexander; I am currently working for the architect of record on the Zaha Hadid highline project. I graduated with a master degree in architecture from Illinois Institute of Technology in May 2013, and I received my Bachelors of Arts from the University of Rochester in Economics in 2008. I have worked for a small residential and commercial firm in soho during my masters program and am now currently working as an architect for Ismael Leyva Architects. I have worked on the zoning, exterior bid set, details and interior layouts for the Zaha Hadid project. I have worked on a range of projects from small residential summer homes on Fire Island, NY to large scale multi-million dollar architectural projects in New York City. I taught Revit to multiple people with varying skill sets. I have experience as an assistant construction manager and construction contract administrator for a real estate development firm in New York City, and have built and renovated multi-million dollar residential projects. I would like to work on projects that create a dialogue and work to solve problems using design. I would like to continue to learn ways to explore new building typologies and learn from a firm that’s has a vast range of knowledge and expertise on many different types of project.
