Sharon Aurelio

I was born and raised up in Mexico, but spent half of my life in Chicago. I have lived in Europe and traveled to South America. Hence, I have an enormous passion for traveling. I like to find the beauty in urban chaos, while at the same time, I enjoy the folkloric charm and tranquillity of little towns.

ARCHITECTURE. Such a simple word holding so many concepts: art, passion, history, culture, moments in space, fashion, philosophy, economics, social stratification, graphics, photography, color, absence of color, senses, time, sustainability, and the list goes on and on. Hence, I can't tell you I'm just an architect. It doesn't feel right. I do what I love and designing spaces is only one of my passions.

While designing, I tend to think "Glocal," and believe the only way for achieving this is through sustainability. At the same time, I believe sustainability is not only about being green, but also about being socially and economically tangible.
