"I am always doing that which I cannot do, in order that I may learn how to do it."
– Pablo Picasso
One might suggest that Picasso is referencing his inherent desire to not only challenge himself but his audience as well. By pushing the boundaries, he found himself at a unique juxtaposition; celebrated and revered by some, criticized and confused by others.
However, what his critics failed to realize is that the act of taking a risk, no matter how big or small, is a feat that many are never able to achieve.
Throughout my architectural education in San Francisco, Los Angeles, and Rome, Italy, I have been able to constantly challenge myself and push the boundaries of architectural inspiration, representation and production. I have carried these lessons into the early stages of my architectural career.
Currently, I am the Vice President of MBI Groups and the Design Director for EXT Design Collective, as well as the Co-Creator and Creative Director of the critically-acclaimed online journal, INTERIORS.
