About

I was born and raised in Helena, MT.  I pursued my academic goals in Washington, Montana, and in Europe and Indonesia.  I enjoy being active and involved in the outdoors and in my local community.  I have a passion for art and travel.  My professional goal is to gain valuable experience at an establishment that shares my ideal work environment and exercises upstanding business practices.  I would be a positive addition to a wide range of projects and positions within this type of atmosphere.

I have made an effort to receive a well-rounded education at a high standard.  I was a student athlete at Wenatchee Valley College, and on the academic Deans List as I worked toward my A.A.S. with an emphasis in art and physics.  As a student of Environmental Design at MSU, I was selected as one of the top thirteen students to study in Rome, Italy, for fourth year studio.  I also pursued a business minor at the undergraduate level to gain knowledge of professional practice.  In 2010 I completed a six-month internship at CTA Architects Engineers.  As a graduate student I traveled to Bali, Indonesia, where I conducted a directed research project on the culture of tourism and its influence on architecture, and I was on the President’s List for high academic achievement at MSU.

My abilities are well balanced in hand graphics as well as digital technologies and technical drafting.  I am proficient in a wide variety of software and design techniques.  My personal strengths are that I have a very positive attitude, a strong willingness to learn, and am very attentive to detail.  My experience in the professional environment has allowed me to be exposed to the practice of architecture and design.  I am currently pursuing my LEED Green Building Associate certification.  My involvement with leadership organizations such as American Institute of Architectural Students and MSU leadership institute has allowed me to facilitate activities that promote ownership of the workplace and a positive studio culture. I am interested in the notion of sustainable, creative and productive spaces, as I believe that it exponentially affects the success of any design team or business.
