I graduated with a BSAS from the University of Illinois - Champaign in December of 2011 and am seeking employment until graduate school in the fall. I spent 6 years in the military and met a lot of great people and did a lot of traveling. It has taken a long time to reach my goals of graduating with an architectural degree, and I have to say that it really is great to be a part of this design world. I am eager to get experience so that one day I will be able to start my own firm. If you're an interested employer please drop me a line, and I would be happy to speak with you otherwise I look forward to learning from the archinect forums.
KNEstudio, NYC, Intern Architect
After KNEstudio won an entry for the Warming Huts pavilion at the Forks in Winnipeg, MB, I was asked to help with the construction documentation and fabrication. We worked 14 hour days for 1.5 months to fabricate the pavilion. We disassembled the pavilion and transported it to Winnipeg where we completed the final build. Honorable Mention - Green ReScheme, Honorable Mention
The Green Rescheme Design Showcase and Competition at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign's School of Architecture takes students' design studio projects and judges them on its integration of sustainable design and techniques. The projects will be presented to the school and to professionals from Chicago and the Champaign area via a showcase and interactive forum that will function as an educational experience, allowing students to understand how certain techniques were effectively implemented and can be applied to future work.
