My name is Pooja Kashyap and I am an architecture student at the University of Cincinnati, College of Design, Art, Architecture & Planning (DAAP). I have worked at two different firms as a co-op, at EHDD Architecture in San Francisco and at BHDP Architecture in Cincinnati, where I gained valuable experience working with Revit, AutoCAD, SketchUp, InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator, Powerpoint, and Excel. I am a certified LEED Green Associate, am working towards becoming a LEED Accredited Professional, and have attended Greenbuild the past two years, using the knowledge I gained at the conference to bring new ideas and invigorating conversations to the firm I was working at. At UC, I am President of Students for Ecological Design (SED) where we are currently planning the historical preservation and adaptive reuse of a vacant campus building. I work with the UC Office of Sustainability to foster sustainable systems and lifestyles within the city of Cincinnati. In addition to my Bachelor’s of Science in Architecture degree, I am pursuing a minor in Sustaining the Urban Environment which has thus far included fascinating urban planning and landscape architecture classes. Within the school of architecture, I am currently expanding my computer skills from the programs mentioned above to include 3D modeling softwares such as Maya, 3D Studio Max, Rhino, Grasshopper and energy modeling softwares such as Ecotect, Vasari, and Sefaira.
