About

Through an interest in the qualities of comfort, my research and professional work has taken me in many directions - thermal and energy modeling, sustainable practices research, local design and material development, and a study of human physiology.  I believe design requires an understanding of a place, of the cycle of the day and year, and of the community.  By integrating these systems into the design process, solutions can be found that support the rituals of a place and the people who inhabit it.
