Hello, I'm looking for a challenging and interesting junior architect position at an architecture or design studio.
I graduated in June 2010 with a Master of Architecture degree from Cal Poly Pomona. During the program I spent many hours building models, using AutoCAD, and learning all I could about architecture. I also have a BS in Mechanical Engineering from UC Davis, where I graduated in 2003. My engineering degree gives me a significant advantage with understanding the technical aspects of architecture and design. It also gives me a practical approach to design and I work to unite the design and function.
I obtained my degree in architecture because I’ve always been fascinated by its combination of the art and science of building. I consider myself to have a good eye for quality and I enjoy making sure things are done the right way. I adapt to new situations easily, learn quickly, and enjoy trying to find ways to improve whatever it is I’m working on. I worked for eleven weeks as an intern at Rossetti Architects in El Segundo where among other things, I used AutoCAD to work on drawings for the Citizens Business Bank Arena in Ontario. A former supervisor there, one of the design associates, described me as solid and disciplined.
I'm confident that my architecture and engineering background would enable me to be a good fit for positions that have design and technical aspects. Please contact me if you think I would be a good fit for a position available or need more information.
