While an undergraduate art major, I focused on my interest for designing in both two and three dimensions. As a graduate student, I was then able to hone the skills I had gained while expanding my creative potential exponentially, taking a particular interest in 3D modeling and rendering. I developed a specific talent for being able to take an abstract concept or idea and translate it into a physical product or model, while making sure that it makes sense both logically and aesthetically. I enjoy this challenging point in the artistic process and believe that this translation is key in the architectural field.
I also perfected my talent for staying calm in a high stress environment with numerous quickly approaching deadlines. This ability helped me lead others as well, for as both a project group member and teaching assistant, I was able to keep others collected and focused in stressful situations.
Other than architecture, I am interested in all forms of art, particularly graphic design and sculpture. I would especially love to work at a firm that merges architecture with these other disciplines.
