About

Amélie-Phaine Keller, Assoc. AIA, is a graduate of the Savannah College of Art and Design school of architecture where she received her BFA and M.Arch degrees. After moving to the Bay Area in early 2012, she has continued to grow her involvement in professional, educational, and nonprofit endeavors. Elected as the 2013 chair of Bay Area Young Architects, and associate designate on the AIASF Board of Directors, she is driven to connect architectural designers in varied career stages and with diverse perspectives. It is through these relationships that the strongest future for each professional and the field of architecture will be found. She is also an active member of the AIASF mentorship program.

Passionate about promoting fluid communication in all areas of life and design, Amélie is as comfortable leading as following, taking on whatever role is necessary to achieve set goals. Previously, she led Revit standard and template creation efforts at a local San Francisco firm. Her participation in client relations as well as project design and documentation have well-equipped her for continued collaboration in both traditional and interdisciplinary studio environments.

Three Cheers Farm, Shepherdess, farmworker, house-raising designer, busker

Worked as a general farmhand and shepherdess on an organic farm in Pennsylvania. While becoming involved with the local life and getting to know other farmers, the issue of one couple needing a new home came up. With help from various family members, neighbors, and friends, we threw a house-raising party over the course of a few weekends. As the only architect or designer in the group, I determined the floor plans, and design relationships that were executed, and then joined the team in framing and erecting the house.
