About

Amélie is a Maker.  She creates in any medium available, and with any spare moment throughout the day.  Though she began with theater, photography, music, fibers, and two-dimensional art, she felt a certain lacking holistic quality she sought that could bring together everyday life and creation.  Thus, the search that resulted in the discovery of capital "a"  Architecture began.  Suddenly, all of the creative strains of thought that ran through her head were centered, with the pursuit of excellence in knowledge and creation of human-environment interaction as its hub.   Every day is a challenge of exploration to Amélie, and she plans to continue her work in Architecture and its many tangent fields while working toward completion of the ARE.

With help from various family members, neighbors, and friends, we threw a house-raising party over the course of a few weekends. As the only architect or designer in the group, I determined the floor plans, and design relationships that were executed, and then joined the team in framing and erecting the house.
