About

Brandon M. Wagner (b. 1990) is a student of art, architecture, politics, and urbanism.  He is pursuing a B.Arch. at Syracuse University School of Architecture in Syracuse, NY.  Since 2013 he has been Editor at PLAYTIME, a student-organized film series and platform for new histories and projects of architecture culture.  Brandon previously studied in London under Ephraim Joris and Joris Pauwels, where he elaborated a critical urban intervention into the future of the London Olympic Park.  He studied in New York under Mick McConnell, where he speculated on the existential qualities of Spotify and contemporary architectural narration.  Brandon has written for CLOG, an architecture quarterly based out of New York City, and collaborated with Andrew Herscher and Yutaka Sho on issues of nongovernmentality in Detroit, Michigan.  More recently, Brandon was research and editorial intern at C-Lab, the Columbia Laboratory for Architectural Broadcasting, where he edited and produced Volume 37: "Is This Not a Pipe?," a project of Ole Bouman, Rem Koolhaas, and Mark Wigley.  Brandon divides his time between New York City and San Antonio, Texas.

Brandon is now developing "Difference and Repetition; or, Sameness By Any Other Name," an architecture thesis which interrogates the landscapes of late suburban Sameness in the context of a global headquarters for Halliburton in Dubai.
