The semester focused on a study of public buildings through heavy analysis of precedent, a history of public building types, and a design studio studying the skyscraper as a new layer within the urban and historical context of Berlin.
Other studies included courses studying the German language, a theoretical course discussing deception and contemporary architecture, and independent travel completed during University holidays within Germany, England, France, Italy, Austria, and Switzerland.
