Morris Architects Planners, Architectural Designer

Morris AP focuses on performing arts facilities. The primary project I contributed to in my time there was a theater located in Chicago which involved both new construction and the reuse of an existing structure. I took site measurements and drew as-built drawings using Architectural Desktop 2009. I took part in a collaborative process to develop the design of the new construction portion of the Project. I assisted with construction documentation, including developing permit drawings, and revisions to specifications.

I was also involved with design development and permit drawings for a private cabin in Wisconsin, took site measurements & developed as-built drawings for another small theater/tenant improvement project.

Ron Wright and Associates/Architects, Inc., Architectural Intern

I was employed with RWAA during summer 2005. In that time I focused mainly on design development through direct client coordination for a small physical therapy office in Seattle. I also assisted on construction documents for tenant improvement projects, and a community center.

I returned to work for RWAA upon graduation from the Univ. of Washington & remained at the firm for 2 years. I primarily focused on Leona Condominiums. I was involved in this project from early design development through Construction Administration. I was entrusted with coordination with the client, consultants and contractor throughout all phases. I gained extensive construction administration experience by attending weekly site meetings, and conducting site visits to prepare a weekly progress report for the client.
