About 

I am a registered Architect with 20 years of experience. I am currently employed as Director of Design with American Constructs in Huntington Beach, CA.  I am registered in Ohio, Illinois and Texas.  I am working on my California license and Leed AP at this time.

I am committed to excellence in design, quality, innovation, and professional growth within a collaborative work environment. My design philosophy is focus on an integrated design process that results in the creation of sustainable, evocative environments with a strong sense of place. 

My experience includes design of complex, mid- to large-scale, innovative and high performance buildings. I have excellent visualization skills, verbal communication and a collaborative work style. My emphasis is maintaining the leading intellectual edge and effectively leveraging current design tools.

I have been fortunate to work with many very gifted Architects throughout my career, including Craig Hartman (Partner SOM), Richard Keating (Partner SOM), Paul Kennon( Partner CRSS), Walter Netsch (Partner SOM), Mike Damore, Craig Taylor, Jose Palacios (Principal AECOM), William Gerstner, Robert Jernigan (Partner Gensler Ass.), Bob Rich, and Loren Rottet.

I have experience with AutoCAD, Revit, Sketch Up, Illustrator, PhotoShop, Premiere Elements 9, Microsoft Word, Project, Excel and Power Point.

BHDP Architecture, Senior Design Architect

I worked as a Design Architect and Project Architect on several Projects, including Caresource Office and Retail Complex, Children's Hospital Center in Liberty, Ohio, Fidelity Identity and Call Center and Sharonville Convention Center Renovation and Addition.
I worked with Bob Rich and Tom Sens as Partners in Charge of the projects. I was responsible for sketches, concept development and design development, as well as presentation of materials and client contact.
I was responsible for planning, design and coordination of large complex projects. Applies diverse knowledge of architectural principles and practices in broad array of assignments and related fields.
Makes decisions on architectural design problems and methods.
I had technical responsibility for interpreting, organizing, executing and coordinating architectural design assignments.
Assignments frequently involved researching unusual and non-recurring problems.
I was responsible for executing specific technical design aspects of an assigned project, including investigation, evaluation and recommendation of design solutions that best meets the client’s needs. I applied advanced architectural concepts and designs with the support of the Senior Partner. I also provided technical guidance to less experienced architects and made recommendations on design alternatives and assisted in proposal preparation.
I am an experienced user of Autodesk Revit in modeling and project documentation in institutional and commercial projects.

I worked on The Miami Valley Career Center (High School Center), the Grandview Hospital Additions and Renovation, Grandview Hospital Neighborhood Master Plan, Miami Valley Hospital Renovations and Additions, and Renaissance Master Plan.
Work on projects emphasized a strong design aesthetic, with particular focus on design, programming, material selection and detailing. Strong graphic and verbal communication, and work in a team environment. Project management experience also.

While with SOM in Chicago and Houston, I was responsible for coordination of team members, mulit -disciplinary meetings, construction coordination and major design coordination with the senior Partner in Charge of each project. fi worked with Craig Hartman, Walter Netsch, Rich Tomlinson and Richard Keating.
