Yeou-Uei is currently an MS.AAD candidate at Cornell AAP. He holds a B.Arch. from Tamkang University in Taiwan, where he is a licensed architect. During his undergraduate years, he was a research team member at the Dynamic Skin Lab, focusing on the interaction between architecture and emotions. Presently, He was a research team member at Housing Innovation Lab, concentrating on the housing quality in NYC.
He interned at Xian Dai Architectural Design in Shanghai and Kengo Kuma And Associates in Tokyo. After graduating, he gained four years of experience at a Taiwanese firm, working on various projects, including social housing, elementary schools, and government competition projects. Through the process, He developed knowledge in architecture, structure, MEP, interiors, and communication. He was comfortable stepping outside his comfort zone and taking on new challenges.
His work focuses on representing and notating light, shadow, memories, and experiences.
