About

My name is Sawinya Chavanich. I am a recent graduate of the Master of Architecture program at Pratt Institute (2018), and have work experience as an architectural intern with the renowned Tokyo firm Kengo Kuma and Associates, General Assembly in New York as well as with a smaller, experimental firm, Teaspoon Studio, in Bangkok. I’ve worked on a wide range of projects from art installation, residential design to hospitality design, and am ready for more.

Between my internships and time at Pratt. I've built up the strong skill set and work ethic needed to design for the modern world. With software playing an ever larger role within architectural design. I took every class I could at Pratt to hone my skills in both 2D and 3D modelling software. I pursues projects that dealt with high resolution modelling and representation, often combining the usage of Rhino, V-ray, Maxwell, AutoCAD, Illustrator and Photoshop to produce the most engaging render. I am very comfortable working with my hands as well- I built many highly detailed scale models during my time at Kengo Kuma and Associates.

I think I have a lot to offer between my international experiences and technical skill set, as well as a great understanding of how to collaborate and support a team. I’ve included a small collection of work samples that speak further to my perspectives as a designer and thinker. More work is available to view on my website, www.swinya.com. Please feel free to reach out via email or phone.
