About 

I am an architect licensed in Egypt and some other Arab countries living in the US since 2010. My first degree in Architecture was in 1981 from Cairo University, where I graduated with honors, my graduation project got distinction.  I had a masters of Urban Design in 1984, then I had a PhD of city and regional planning from University of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia (PENN) in 1989. I had a summer internship in London in 1980 at Pascal and Watson Architects, then I became a practicing architect in Egypt since 1981. starting 1984 till 1989 I worked in different architectural offices in Philadelphia,the last was Livingstone & Rosenwinkel P.C., Architects and Planners where I worked for more than one year.

I worked for education, health, residential and governmental projects over the years starting from project set-up, design, design reviews and management, project construction, site management and project management.  I had my own practice in Cairo prior to  where I had to look for projects, manage my office and be responsible for all aspects of my practice with a good junior team.  I worked as an advisor to the directorate of planning and survey in Sharjah, UAE between 2003 and 2006, then a master plan manager for Hill International Inc. in Dubai between 2007-2010.  I managed mega developments in the UAE, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Libya, Egypt and Oman where I had to manage architectural work of international consultants such as Foster & partners, HOK, WATG, EDAW, KA-CEC, and non-architect firms such as Cushman & Wakefield.  I traveled all over the world and has very good experience with project set-up, licensing procedures in many countries.

I have taught architecture, urban design and urban planing in Egypt, Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates (UAE) for years and held the position of the chairperson for the department of Architecture at Cairo University.

I am currently doing home repair work for myself in Rahway and I am seeking NCARB certification as a foreign architect.
