My name is Silvia Escobar. I am a young, dynamic architect, graduated in architecture at Technical University of Madrid. I am extremely confident that my degree has prepared me for a successful career in architecture.
I am interested in a view of architecture in relation with the urban and social landscape in cities. This is why during my degree I have taken part in different workshops in collaboration with CEPT University (Ahmedabad, India) and AA university (London, England). My past experience of working in India with people from different cultures has brought me a greater understanding of international culture and traditions as well as a further knowledge of our profession and the different kinds of process that as architects we have to be able to manage. I have also made an internship in HT Arquitectos, in Madrid, experience that gives me a deeper understanding of how our profession works and a solid training as junior architect.
Besides, I am aware that we live in a changeable world in which is necessary to work in a team and be able to adapt to a wide range of situations, this is why I have taken part in international ideas contests with some university colleagues. I very much enjoy collaborating with a team of people with similar interest and working towards shared goals. This has allowed me to be updated on the different tools required, both technological and intellectual, in order to maintain a competitive level in the architecture field.
As you can see in my profile besides my university qualifications I have worked in different fields not related with architecture and construction. This experience has involved a great deal of customer contact which has improved my communication skills and has provided me the ability to adapt to a wide range of situations.
