Employment

Big Prototype, Assistant with installation

During the summer of 2010, I had the privilege of working with BigPrototype, a small Brooklyn based architectural firm who also explores a lot with several materials, fabrications, and products. Lia Halloran and Sarah Strauss proposed an installation called Collider; folding/unfolding, based on explorations of crystals Lia had previously done through painting.

After we decided to base the giant crystals of the gypsum, I designed different variations on the computer then I built them with ½” mdf.

We had a gallery opening in November 2010 at ARTISPHERE in Washington DC. We plan on having another soon and fabricating some of the shapes in metal.
