About

I am seeking an innovative company to which I may contribute the diverse experience and technical abilities I have developed throughout my career. My interests in common with most Architectural Firms are the design of commercial, residential, mixed-use, and architectural restoration with the interweaving of sustainable features and modern technologies.  While renovating Albert Frey’s North Shore Yacht Club in Salton Sea, CA, I gained first hand experience working to restore a piece of Mid Century Architecture. With the types of Architectural projects that are being executed and their approach to stand face to face with the sustainability issues around the world, I strive as a professional, just as Architecture strives to create an ideal surrounding for our future generations.

Following my graduation from the University of Michigan in 2005, I was recruited by Holt Architects, Inc. My initial role as a Design Specialist required that I engage several municipal and commercial projects from inception through design development, and finally through the construction document phase. As a result, my knowledge of contemporary building enclosures, combined with my disciplined work ethic, has elevated my responsibilities to Chief Designer/Project Manager.

My leadership experience has given me the ability to confront any challenge I may encounter with determination and vigor. I believe that during the process of program enclosure, it is critical to develop a method of collective engagement with a building design team. I am confident in my ability to work independently as well, and have developed the skills to direct a team through the execution of a vision. In addition to my growth within the office environment, I am actively pursuing professional licensure to further my standing in the profession.

Conceptual Design project at the University of Michigan - Ann Arbor. The Detroit Automotive Archive Library serves as an urban hub in the form of a Transit Station that connects the city to the surrounding areas. Using the circulation of the heart as a diagram, the Archive brings together multiple facets of its urban surroundings. It serves to relate information and to help people commute from different reaches of the urban setting. With Detroit being one of the most powerful and sprawling cities at one time in American history, the Automotive Archive and Transit Station not only focuses on the documentation of the automotive industry and it’s vast history, it also looks deep into the cities urban mesh. This project was selected for publication by the Accreditation Board.
