Born in 1962 in Cherboug, Patrick Mauger studied architecture in Marseille (France). After graduating in 1986, he completed his education with a post-graduate course in the theory of architecture in Paris and a second post-graduate course in communication sciences at Sciences'com in 1988.
The same year, he was awarded the Jean Walter - Zellidja grand by the Académie Française and went to live in the United States. His book, Centres Commerciaux was published by Editions du Moniteur in 1990. He worked in the United States and then in France for a number of well-known agencies, including that of Jean-Michel Willmotte, where he acquired skills restructuring buildings of high heritage, cultural and research value.
