As the guiding vision for Summit, the Village at Powder Mountain is a master plan that incorporates a new ski village with several smaller projects within the village itself. The central development includes residential homes, recreational facilities, and hospitality spaces joined together in an unparalleled ski mountain development.

Inspired by the local slogan “Preserve the Powder”, the Village masterplan was designed to grow organically while remaining grounded in local culture and context. The plan integrates with existing streets while preserving mountain access and 360 degree views. Creating a year-round community for visiting thought leaders and residents alike, the Village is planned as an urban center where people can gather to learn, relax and unwind. Embracing density within a pastoral setting, the plan demonstrates a commitment to the community and sustainable mountain development.

Embracing the lowest skier density of any major ski resort in North America, the Village plan connects Powder Mountain’s expansive in-bound skiable terrain to the ski village. The plan combines diverse accommodations with a food hall, marketplace, distillery and the signature Summit Institute. The Village plan will begin with the Village center, establishing a destination for both Powder Mountain visitors and residents. 

Providing spaces to bring people together from diverse backgrounds, the plan is oriented to the mountain’s remarkable natural setting, fostering an appreciation of place. Recognizing the need for balanced development, the Village plan includes subsidized artist residences, low-income housing, and fellowship programming open to artists, entrepreneurs, and Eden’s residents.

The Village plan creates space for Summit’s belief that solutions to global problems can arise organically and in everyday moments, from simple chairlift rides to fireside chats between strangers.
