I believe social change can happen through design.

I am originally from the southern most island of the Caribbean, Trinidad & Tobago. Growing up in a developing country and seeing the problems that plagued our society, first hand, played a formative role in my awareness of my own social responsibility. Therefore pursuing a career where I can make a difference is the dream.

My upbringing played a formative role in the actualization of the foundation of my design philosophy: Social Responsibility and Holism; to make thoughtful design less of a luxury and more accessible to those who may not be typically privy to it; to not only consider the needs of the person allowing me to shape their space, but also the person that will be affected by my design, as well as the local built context and the greater environmental impact. I seek to articulate these core values in all of my designs. Shaping space that in turn shapes the people, so they may develop an intimate connection to their built environment.
