National Park Service Visitors and Welcome Center

The National Park Service requires a new building for a Visitors and Welcome Center in Tuskegee, Al.  This building is to house the current administration of the local Park Service , as well as several new staff.  There are an abundance of natural features on the site- artesian wells, trees, and a creek.  The aim of this design is to facilitate the interaction between nature and the visitor, while providing shelter for the daily functions of the Welcome Center.  This will be done by establishing a module, and applying it to the plan, section, and elevation- including the structure, and building components- of the design.  This driving force can be seen in nature, by observing coral, which is made of trillions of organisms, or modules, working together.
