Modern Development Studio, LLC (MoDe Studio)

Vision
Modern Development Studio, LLC is a development, design, and consulting workshop established in 2011. Challenging the conventional model —where designers execute the developers' vision—, at MoDe Studio we integrate thinking from several disciplines —real estate finance, market analysis, urban planning, landscape architecture, architectural design, and environmental sciences, among others— to provide a comprehensive development platform. Our model aims at both enhancing developments' opportunities as well as minimizing negative environmental and social impact.

MoDe Studio is an international, highly design–driven firm that builds on a strong and diverse portfolio. Based in Boston with offices in Santiago de Chile, current projects include several mid– and large–scale residential, retail, and mixed use developments encompassing over two million square feet.

Environment
Our 'development workshop' model provides a unique and collaborative professional environment that promotes projects' quality, efficiency, and sustainability by integrating ideas and expertise. Our approach empowers our clients —real estate developers, public agencies, and individuals— with the means to fulfill their vision while enabling thoughtful, livable, and sustainable environments.

History
MoDe Studio was co–founded by Eduardo Berlin and Ricardo Posada, formally merging their individual design and consulting practices, both with extensive portfolios. They propose a progressive business model looking to re-empower real estate development by working at the intersection of design, business, and individuals under a paradigm of comprehensive financial, social, and environmental sustainability.
