12 Promoted in Lord Aeck Sargent Atlanta Headquarters Office

ATLANTAMarch 5, 2018Lord Aeck Sargent recently promoted 15 of its members. Twelve of those professionals are based out of the Atlanta headquarters office. The leading architecture, design and planning firm has six offices that focus on responsive design, technical expertise and sustainable practices.


Its design staff represents a broad range of expertise including registered architects, preservation planners, interior designers, urban designers, material specialists, land planners, landscape architects, cost estimators, building performance analysts and zoning specialists.

  • Josh Andrews AIA, LEED AP, was promoted to Principal. He is involved in planning, programming, design, construction administration and project management. Andrews has been with Lord Aeck Sargent since 2000 and has significant expertise in higher education facilities focusing on science & technology, active learning, student life and historic preservation, as well as K-12 and corporate projects. Andrews has managed a number of higher education projects, including the Harris A. Smith Building for Packaging Science at Clemson University and the Human and Agricultural Biosciences Building I at Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University. He is a National Council of Architectural Registration Boards certificate holder and serves on the board of directors for The Museum School of Avondale Estates.

  • Angela Speeth was promoted to Senior Associate. She is a Technical Operations Manager and has more than 18 years in the design industry supporting front and back office operations throughout the project lifecycle.

  • David Steele, AIA, NCARB, CDT, was promoted to Senior Associate. Steele recently worked on the restoration of Covenant College’s Carter Hall in Lookout Mountain, Ga., which successfully rehabilitated the building’s entire façade and returned it to its original Tudor-style appearance and detailing. He also served as key roles on the project teams of the rehabilitations to the GEM Theatre in Calhoun, Ga., and the University of Georgia’s Fine Arts Building.

  • Ray Thompson, RA, was promoted to Senior Associate. Among numerous other projects, Thompson has served as project manager for multiple projects at the University of North Georgia’s Dahlonega campus for more than 15 years.

  • Neil Weekley, LEED AP BD+C, was promoted to Senior Associate. Weekley is currently working on several projects in Midtown Atlanta, including Spectrum on Spring and the redevelopment of Colony Square.

  • Marco Ancheita, was promoted to Associate. He has been with the company since 2013 and is a Senior Urban Designer. He has been recognized with several honors for his work including 2017 AIA Atlanta Honor Award for residential mixed-use, 2016 Georgia APA Award for outstanding planning document and 2016 APA Great Neighborhoods recipient. Ancheita is currently working on the Suwanee Town Center West, Bank of America Plaza and Pullman Yard.

  • Kim Garcia, was promoted to Associate. Garcia serves as a Senior Construction Administration Coordinator, working with project teams to manage queries and responses in a timely manner to keep the construction schedule on track. The Atlanta native joined the firm in 1999 and again in 2015. Garcia is active in the Capitol View Neighborhood Association.

  • Olivia Hallquist, NCARB, was promoted to Associate. Since joining the firm in 2013, Hallquist has served as a member of the design staff for such projects as the Fox Theatre Marquee Club and the Renovation of Building D at Kennesaw State University’s Marietta campus.

  • Stephanie Heit was promoted to Associate. Heit received her Bachelor of Architecture from Auburn University in 2000. Her recent work includes the Aaron Diamond AIDS Research Center at Columbia University Medical Center, Duke University Chesterfield Building Research Lab Upfit and Western Carolina University Science Building.

  • Alissa Kingsley, RA, LEED AP, was promoted to Associate. She is the project architect for the Living Building at Georgia Tech, which is intended to be a fully functional, working model of sustainable planning, building and programming for a variety of audiences to access, study and replicate.   

  • Jolie Maddox, LEED AP BD&C, was promoted to Associate. She has worked on the High Museum of Art Expansion, the National Park Service’s Blue Ridge Parkway Visitor Center and the Millersville University Student Housing.

  • Elizabeth Rosenzweig, NCIDQ, was promoted to Associate. Rosenzweig’s projects include the Atlanta International School and Western Carolina University – STEM and Sherman College – Scallon Building Renovation and New Student Center.
