La Taqueria was born through the idea of creating a modern interpretation of a taco stand that captures the spirit of eating street tacos in Mexico City. The design approach was to use everyday materials in a simple and honest way in order to create pragmatic aesthetic that avoided being “over designed”. The colourful concrete floor tiles (hand made in Guadalajara) and the hand painted menu pays homage to a simple Mexican aesthetic.
