NORTHERN LIGHTS” installation

“NORTHERN LIGHTS” is an architectural installation which was part of BIOEST- New York festival of Estonian Contemporary Culture, presented in Scandinavia House in New York. The installation titled “Northern Lights” weaves together contemporary Estonian space-art and futuristic music. An interactive ambient environment imitates the Northern Lights, a rare atmospheric light display often visible in the northern hemisphere. Imitating nature in the center of a concrete metropolis not only refers to Estonia’s location though, but to all of our origins. This unique installation provides the audience with a sensory
distance from their everyday three-dimensional space perception for one evening.
