Julia Nowodworski

Buenos Aires, AR

About

I was born in 1985. I live and work in Buenos Aires, Argentina.

In this craft I have developed projects from the synthesis of concepts, ideas and preliminary sketches up to their building and completion. Therefore, I have solid experience participating in several stages of the architecture practice, working both independently and collaborating in design teams. I have dealt directly with customers, adjusted to their requests and objectives, documented full plans comparing and managing budgets, hired and supervised contractors and adapted the layouts to the changing conditions of the construction process.

I am strongly involved in research and critique, focusing on process-oriented design. As a teacher I have been constantly thinking and reinterpreting established concepts about creativity and design, conducting committed debates surrounding our practice, assisting and generating several investigations with my colleagues and students, preparing lectures and classes, designing and managing undergraduate courses, and participating in juries and critiques.

As an artist, my aim is to experiment with different materials and techniques by exploring new creative approaches and developing my own body of original work.

At the moment I am seeking to expand my personal and professional horizons by working in another country and getting involved with different creative practices.
