Busy firm specializing in high-end luxury residential, commercial and hospitality projects has an opportunity to join our team and grow your career as an Intermediate Interior Designer.
ROLE You will work on teams, and independently, on projects ranging from high-end luxury residential, commercial and public. You must have previously delivered projects with simultaneous deadlines in a fast-paced environment. Clear communication both verbally and written are essential to your success. Experience working on projects built in NYC is essential to your success.
Work hand in hand with Partner in Charge (PIC) and Project Manager (PM) to ensure timely progression and qualitative aspects of the work.
Present pertinent project information to community groups and other organizations on behalf of firm.
Attend meetings with project staff, consultants and the construction team when required.
Assist the PM in accruement of information necessary to define the scope of the work, including organizing and conducting field surveys, client interviews, producing reports and sketches.
Coordinate work of the staff, engineering consultants, and design consultants to ensure that the design objectives are being met.
Review contractor’s shop drawings.
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS
BArch, March or equivalent degree
7-10 years of professional experience within an office setting
Strong design portfolio showcasing diverse project types
Development of FF&E schemes, maintain FF&E budgets, and product specifications - REQUIRED
NYC Building Code Knowledgeable - REQUIRED
Responsive and dependable to meet deadlines
Prior experience working with Design Principal and Interior Design Director
Advanced Level AutoCAD and Adobe Creative Skills/Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign
Ability to create 3D renderings in SketchUp
Excellent visual, verbal and written communication skills
Outstanding Graphic skills and ability to create presentation/material boards
Experienced with producing drawings from Schematic through Construction Administration
Rhino and BIM knowledge
ADA code compliance
