Overview:

Float is a multidisciplinary full-service studio that creates spaces, products, and interior identities for workplaces, commercial spaces, hospitality and retail. Vastly experienced, highly collaborative, and open-minded, they build relationships to their clients through in-depth discovery and considered design direction.

Responsibilities:

  • Work with senior architectural designer to review code, consultant coordination, and filing

  • Set up files and organization for new projects

  • Coordinate with the design team on the development of construction documents

  • Provide program and code research, develop fit tests, and set up construction documents for development in close coordination with the senior architectural designer

  • Provide material and product research, sourcing and vendor coordination

  • Assist in development of design presentation documents and interior elevations for internal review and client presentations

  • Generate Sketches  during Construction Administration

  • Manage submittal logs, field RFI’s and assist in construction administration for projects

  • Coordinate construction documents with FF&E specifications provided by the design team and present survey results

  • Manage individual deliverables and workflow within larger project schedules and communicate any conflicts to the design team

Qualifications:

  • BArch or M.Arch

  • 1-4 years of relevant experience

  • Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite, Revit, Autocad, Bluebeam, 3D Modeling

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • Knowledge of standard office software (i.e. Google Suite)

  • Legal authorization to work in the US

Salary range commensurate with experience and education.
