Overview:

Float is a multidisciplinary full-service studio that creates spaces, products, and interior identities for workplaces, commercial spaces, hospitality and retail. Vastly experienced, highly collaborative, and open-minded, they build relationships to their clients through in-depth discovery and considered design direction.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide both ad-hoc and project specific support to the interior design team. 

  • Manage and implement interior design projects from initial design concept through to installation.

  • Research finishes, fixtures and materials, generating fixture and finish schedules and placeholder budgets based on existing templates

  • Upkeep material and resource library (digital & physical)

  • Gain familiarity with the firm's brand guidelines, resources, and standards

  • Develop documents and presentations as needed for internal and client reviews (i.e. 3D modeling, FF&E presentation, development of interior elevations, floor plans, and furniture plans)

  • Use computer-aided drafting (CAD) and related software to produce construction documents

  • Develop and review detail drawings for construction plans

  • Coordinate with contractors, architects, subcontractors, and vendors to ensure project success

Qualifications:

  • BA Interior Design or related field

  • 0-3 years relevant experience

  • Familiarity with Adobe Creative Suite, Revit

  • Experience with CAD (Autocad or Vectorworks) preferred

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • Knowledge of standard office software (i.e. Google Suite)

  • Legal authorization to work in the US

Salary range commensurate with experience and education.
