ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY

We are seeking a Job Captain that has extensive experience in various aspects of architectural design, ranging from construction documents and entitlement processing to master plan development, and eventually will run their own projects.

Job captains at Kluger Architects will be expected to jump right into our current projects, some of which are in the construction document phase using Revit. The candidate we select will have the responsibility of working with and possibly taking over as lead Job Captain. Selected Job Captain must have outstanding problem-solving skills, ability to work well with others and deliver a finished project within schedule and budget.

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES

• Support Architects, Project Managers and Designers in preparing design and construction drawings
• Produce complete sets of construction documents
• Knowledge of architectural detailing and construction standards
• Research materials, assemblies, and building codes for appropriate incorporation into construction drawings as directed by a supervisor
• Construction Administration includes regular site visits, RFIs, shop drawings, submittals, etc.
• Interface with clients as directed throughout each project and manage relationships to ensure customer satisfaction
• Represent the company at community and industry events, professional conferences, meetings, committees, etc.
• Contributes to a positive and productive team-oriented environment

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor or Master of Architecture degree from accredited program
• Minimum of 3-8 years of post-bachelor/master degree Architecture firm experience
• Highly proficient in Revit
• Experience in AutoCAD, Lumion, Adobe Suite, and Microsoft Office
• Highly capable of working with and speaking with all levels of Engineers and Consultants to ensure the project is executed correctly
• Experience in all elements of design.
