Our client is a New York based boutique design firm, specializing in international, experiential, branded retail environments seeks Senior Designers and Designers for unique opportunities.

Ideal professionals will be seeking a fast-paced, small-firm environment that encompasses versatile design aesthetics and formulates creative design solutions from concept through completion. These professionals will be branding new companies by developing and documenting the brand concept, conducting demographic studies and ensuring the differentiation of the brand experience. This may include graphics, environmental design, fixtures, signage, etc. that affect the users experience.

Senior Designers are responsible for communicating with clients and vendors to convey concepts and ideas, design details, and plans for implementation. They also formulate creative solutions and insure that the project deliverables arrive on time and on budget.

Designers create experiential retail environments producing architectural and fixture concepts, design development, construction documents and materials specifications. Designer may also create presentations, branding and/or marketing materials that relate to their projects.

Qualifications:

  • A degree in architecture or interior design, from an accredited program
  • 3-8 years of professional experience with an architecture/interior design firm, design agency or retailer
  • Proficient in all aspects of interior design with current knowledge of industry trends in retail design
  • Understand construction means, methods and materials and significant knowledge of commercial furniture and finishes.
  • Strong presentation, communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong leadership skills and some experience leading design teams on multiple projects.
  • Ability to execute multiple designs under tight deadlines

Required Skills and Abilities:

  • proficient in AutoCAD, 3D rendering programs, Adobe Photoshop, In-Design and free hand sketches
  • Microsoft Word, Project, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook
