Diller Scofidio + Renfro is an interdisciplinary design studio that integrates architecture, the visual arts, and the performing arts.   Based in New York City, Diller Scofidio + Renfro is led by three partners who work collaboratively with a staff of 100 architects, artists and administrators.

We are currently seeking a Press & Marketing Manager to join the Business Development team. The successful candidate will join a dynamic team with a broad range of responsibilities, including strategic acquisition of new work and risk management, marketing and external communications. The team also fosters client relationships and supports the firm’s Principals with their public engagements.

The Press & Marketing manager will work closely with the Director of Business Development and the firm’s Principals.

The Press & Marketing manager is expected to:

  • Coordinate public relations and marketing efforts, including press releases, interviews, and publications
  • Coordinate project specific and general studio marketing material
  • Manage awards submissions
  • Respond to press requests and inquiries
  • Monitor press and produce press summaries
  • Produce and manage the Studio’s newsletter
  • Coordinate and manage the studio’s online presence
  • Manage the partners public engagements, including lectures,  and public appearances
  • Assist with new initiatives aimed at profitability and growth, including expansion into new markets

Qualifications:

  • 2-3 years of experience in a related work environment preferred
  • Previous work with architecture and art press preferred
  • Experience in branding/strategic planning/research
  • Architectural degree preferred
  • Experience with international markets is preferred
  • Critical understanding of DS+R’s work and perspective
  • Working knowledge of the Adobe Creative Suite and MS Office
  • Exceptional communication skills, both written and spoken
  • Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
  • Genuine interest in the field of Architecture and the Arts
