Walls In Gardens

The columbarium walls reside within four garden fields, each featuring a distinctive perennial blooming flower. This differentiation between the gardens provides identity to the otherwise repetitive armature of the urn-bearing walls. Color and fragrance mark picturesque thresholds in the continuous sequence through the chambers of memory. Visitors meander along the walls, passing through pockets of inside and outside gardens. Additionally, the garden boundaries shape two courtyards on each side of the columbarium, serving the existing graves on the site. Among the trees and flowers, these sequences of events allow visitors to contemplate their existence in time and space.
