Approximately, 1100 marathons are run in the United States every year, with over half a million participants. Individual experiences vary, but the event of a marathon brings those experiences together in a celebration of endurance strength. This museum was designed to bring that celebration beyond the finish line, and create a space in which that celebration continues on year round. Being just blocks away from the worlds oldest and most prestigious marathon finish line, this museum pays special attention to Boston by using the yellow and blue colors used on the logo of the Boston Athletic Association.
