IPOH URBAN FARMING

Kampong Kuchai is situated  in the middle of the city and it is one of the city and the last undeveloped area.It was featured in the City’s Structural Plan but was left alone during the General Election in the late 80’s or early 90’s. Kampong Kuchai is home to many motor repairs shops, coach builders, carpenters,and welders. The land use of the Kampong Kuchai is 30% residential and 70% commercial under EPP6-Green. The landmark of Kampong Kuchai is Dato’ Panglima Kinta Mosque in Jalan Mesjid where it is just across the River Kinta towards Ipoh new town. The
mosque was built in 1898 .The goal of this project was to design an Urban farming with a PERMACULTURE APPROACH  that will inject a lot of programs with the community and will open a lot of jobs apportunity especially to the retired and homeless people and to bring back the soul of the kampong kuchai.
