Ohlone Elementary School

Modernization replaced existing portables with a two-story building, increased the variety of landscape available to the children, reinforced the use of an existing organic school farm, and provided classrooms that demonstrate and perform at a high level of sustainability. The building maintains an indoor/outdoor adjacency and is next to the farm to facilitate use of the new science/flex room as a resource. A large garage door opens the lobby to the fields for large gatherings. Second floor classrooms are single loaded, with a living roof.
