Have you ever had an idea so perfect, you would stop at nothing to see it through? That is Sandcastles. It's an original short animated film, the story of a little boy, Avery. He's just eight years old and filled with hope and imagination, and he sets out to build the best sandcastle ever. Of course, things don't go exactly as planned, but he is determined to triumph.

Dushan & I have collaborated several times on short animated films, and Sandcastles is our new favorite project. I'm an independent animator with a quirky cute-but-dark side and Dushan is an architect with a penchant for meaningful storytelling. 

Our last effort, Garrett (https://vimeo.com/20595638) was a darkly hopeful animated short that delighted festival audiences.

Sandcastles is even better.

Over the last few months we have poured ourselves into developing characters, building 3D models, and developing visual fx to help us  tell this story. This story is demanding, and so we are seeking a little help make Sandcastles outstanding. Funds will help cover day-to-day costs of production, as well as data storage, rendering, DVD costs, and festival fees.

This is going to be an exciting six months, and we are thrilled to have you on board - every bit helps, and we are grateful to all our supporters.
